The Family Legacy Behind Reseda Coachcraft

The roots of Reseda Coachcraft trace back more than five decades — to 1967 — when a young man named Stephan began his journey in the auto body repair world in Yerevan, Armenia. Working as a bodyman to support his family, Stephan quickly earned a reputation for his relentless work ethic, skilled hands, and deep respect for the craft of collision repair.
For 20 years, Stephan honed his skills and built a foundation not only for a career but for a legacy. In 1987, at the age of 36, he made the courageous decision to move his wife and two children to the United States, determined to give them a better life and new opportunities.
A Legacy of Auto Body Craftsmanship Since 1967
In Los Angeles, Stephan continued perfecting his craft at a major auto body shop, earning the respect of peers and customers alike. His dedication to precision and quality soon became the foundation of what would later define Reseda Coachcraft — craftsmanship, honesty, and care.
Stephan’s deep knowledge of collision repair and commitment to doing things right, even when no one was watching, inspired everyone around him. But none more than his son.
A Passion Passed Down Through Generations
Watching closely was his young son, Mike, who quickly became inspired by his father’s passion and discipline.
From Painter’s Helper to Collision Repair Expert
At just 12 years old, Mike began working in the shop — starting as a painter’s helper and gradually mastering every aspect of the trade, from paint correction and frame repair to auto paint work and detailing. He learned early that great work isn’t just about tools — it’s about pride.
Building Reseda Coachcraft Together
Side by side, father and son spent years learning the business from the ground up — from frame and unibody structure repair to professional refinishing and ceramic coating. Then, in 2007, they took a leap of faith and opened the doors to Reseda Coachcraft, a family-owned collision repair center built on integrity, quality, and heart.
Built on Purpose – Driven by Passion for Quality Repairs
For the past 18 years, Stephan and Mike have grown Reseda Coachcraft into one of the most trusted names in the San Fernando Valley. Their mission has always been simple:
To help people by restoring their vehicles to like-new condition — safely, correctly, and with the highest level of care.
Precision in Every Repair
From auto body work and paint repair to 24/7 towing and collision-assist services, every repair is completed with precision and pride. The team understands that an accident is more than damage to metal — it’s stress, uncertainty, and inconvenience. That’s why they treat every vehicle as if it were their own, ensuring each customer leaves confident and safe.
Restoring Confidence After Every Accident
The true joy for Stephan and Mike comes not just from fixing cars — but from seeing the relief and gratitude on a customer’s face when they get their vehicle back, knowing it was repaired with honesty, craftsmanship, and care.
A Legacy That Lives On in the San Fernando Valley
Now, in 2025, the story enters its third generation. Mike’s son, Stephan Jr., proudly carries his grandfather’s name and spirit. With the same dedication that started this journey in 1967, Stephan Jr. leads the company with a bold vision:
To take his family’s legacy to new heights — continuing to help people, grow the business, and honor the name that started it all.
At Reseda Coachcraft, we’re more than a body shop — we’re a family-run collision repair center serving Reseda, Tarzana, Northridge, and the greater San Fernando Valley. We’ve built our name on trust, craftsmanship, and care — three generations strong and still driven by passion.
Three Generations, One Mission, Endless Dedication
Three generations. One mission. A passion for perfection that drives everything we do.
